Farewell Ms. Howey!.......................... Welcome Ms. Beekman!

Dear OAP Families,

I have very conflicting feelings as I write this message to the families of the students who have touched my world during the past 12 years. I have many fond memories of “my kids” that I will carry with me through this next chapter of my life. I am now employed in my “next” dream job with 4-H Alberta at the 4-H Centre and doing Programming for the 4-H Alberta program.

There many new initiatives happening this summer to make school easier through the next school year. I am very excited to announce that NGPS is working on building a washroom in the JK classroom to make life easier for everyone up there. Our teachers are having a well deserved break so they are mentally and physically ready to come back to school in August and get through this COVID crisis and get back to the business of teaching and learning.

If you have JK or K students and need to get registered for the 2020/2021 school year please know we are looking forward to welcoming these kiddos into OAP and will have open registration at the end of August. If you have students in Grades K to 3, I will be mailing out welcome letters in mid August from your next years teacher.

I wish everyone of you a great summer and super school year ahead. Be safe, take care of each other, I am thinking of you.

Sherry Howey

Sherry, best of luck on your future endeavors at 4-H, it was a pleasure meeting you. You have done a tremendous job here at OAP, and I look forward to continuing with the work you have started. I enjoyed meeting with the staff virtually, and I look forward to meeting everyone in person so soon.

There are some school programs here at OAP, additions being added this summer to JK, and classrooms ready to welcome your children back. Enjoy the rest of your summer OAP community, rest, rejuvenate and relax.

I look forward to the wonderful year ahead.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you so much.
